Only 1 hour far from Milan by car or by train and and stuck to the Swiss border, lake Como is the third-largest lake in Italy and one of the most picturesque and famous in the world for its breathtaking landskapes of the deep blue waters, the elegance of prestigious villas on the steep shores, the Italian Style parks and gardens with ancient statues and fountains, whose Mediterrean trees and flowers contrast to the snowy peaks of the Alpine mountains in the background.

Como City
Como has a beautiful Medieval centre with churches and noble residences which I would be happy to guide you in. I will walk you in the history and the highlights of the city of Como, from the Celtics, the Roman empire, the magnificence of the marbles and friezes of the Gothic Cathedral and the artworks of architecture and sculpture of the Comacini masters, up to the pioneering researches of Alessandro Volta (have you ever heard about Volt…?) and renowned Rational Style architectures.
From Como you can also reach the top of the hill of Brunate, also known as the “Balcony of the Alps”, to enjoy the impressive view of the highest mountains in western Europe.
